Electrical Control Engineer II

Electrical Control Engineers are responsible for designing, detailing, programming, starting up and debugging control systems for special equipment used for assembly, testing and material removal.

Design, develop and test electrical systems and electronic devices
Oversee installation and startup at customer facilities
Perform required field service and debugging
Conduct tests, analyze test data, write test reports to record operating performance and provide data to support product compliance with customer specs and standards
Develop detailed engineering specs for new products
Develop changes to plans and methodology
Interpret policies and requirements in terms of established objectives
Provide recommendations for improvements to meet program objectives

Minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
Two years of experience as an Electrical Engineer
Ability to read, write and debug basic ladder logic program, and design machine electrical hardware, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using AutoCAD
Proficient in software such as Encompix
Team player who works well with others
Ability to plan and carry out assignments and resolve most conflicts
Willing to travel for training or startups

Mechanical Engineer III

As a Mechanical Engineer III, you are responsible for developing and designing products and systems including special equipment.

Research, plan and design mechanical and electromechanical products and systems
Perform required field service and debugging
Direct and coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical or electromechanical products and systems
Troubleshoot mechanical designs, assemblies and component problems, and implement corrective measures
Develop changes to plans and/or methodology
Interpret policies and requirements in terms of established objectives
Provide recommendations for improvements to meet program objectives
Work with proposal group to develop concepts for future projects
Provide input on time required and component pricing for quotes
Serve as technical advisor to proposal group on feasibility of controls aspect of the design
Suggest alternatives to improve concepts and processes
May be asked to train lower-level Mechanical Engineers
Adhere to project budget and work within loaded hours
Define objectives and interpret policies and objectives established by senior management, and determine their effect on data and development requirements
Independently plan, design and carry out work
Oversee installation support and startup at customer facilities

Minimum of bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience in the field and knowledge of machines and automation
Seven years of experience in related field and working knowledge of solid modeling software
Basic understanding of control and fluid power systems
Ability to perform structural calculations
Rudimentary knowledge of manufacturing processes
Good knowledge of appropriate references to find answers
Proficiency in company software (Encompix, AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
Works with well with people and independently
Organized problem-solver with good written and verbal skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and multi-task
Experience working with machines, selecting components, and analyzing fit form and function preferred

Proposals Engineer

A Proposals Engineer is responsible for creating proposals for customers, preparing cost estimates for new proposals, contract changes and requests for quotations utilizing basic engineering data, drawings, customer specifications and related information, summarizing total cost estimates, and preparing cost studies for management.

Review and analyze customer specifications and data from other departments to compile information for bids and prepare proposals in accordance to customer requirements
Obtain Engineering Manager, Manufacturing Manager and management’s approval prior to any proposal submission to the customer
Adhere to company pricing policies and gathering customer and internal feedback at the time of job completion
Prepare Government compliant proposals

Bachelor’s degree in related field and experience in component pricing preferred
High school diploma with knowledge of products, materials, and components related to the machine tool industry and the processes necessary to design and manufacture equipment
Five years of experience in related field with several years in sales or project management
Ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate data and develop ideas
Ability to work independently and with others (sales, engineering, management, vendors) to create proposals that meet customer expectations
Organized problem-solver with good written and verbal skills, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multi-task
